Liverpool set to sign Johnson
Liverpool F.C are currently set to sign Portsmouth full-back Glen Johnson. Johnson, the England international, has recently had a medical with The Reds, and is set to sign for Liverpool for £17 million, despite Chelsea offering more. It also helps because Portsmouth still owe Liverpool money for forward Peter Crouch, who Rafa was slightly looking at this year. Rafa Benitez wants about £30 million from Real Madrid for Xabi Alonso. Mashcerano admitted he wanted to leave Liverpool for Barcalona, but Rafa Benitez said he will not move.
